mr. e's first road trip

mr. e went on his first road trip with g, grandma pound and i to brentwood, california 

to meet their cousins at uncle mike and aunt darsi's house.

he really enjoyed hangin' with his cousins, exploring the new environment and playing with different toys than we have at our house.

i took him, g and e on a walk the second night we were there and he told me, "aunt katie, i love grace so much my heart hurts." and "aunt katie, grace is so pretty. most beautiful in the world."

super duper adorable stuff came out of that kid and i think g enjoyed the attention.

this is little beckham.

he is 11 months old and so cute.

he would be crawling like in the above picture, and he would stop and tap his leg up and down like a dog when your scratching a spot that feels really good.

it was pretty funny. i have never seen anything like it before.

he fell asleep on my chest

and as he laid there finally drifting off to dreamland, i took him in.

the smell of his sweet hair, his breaths growing more calm, his sweet hand on my arm. 

after a few minutes he rolled off and onto his own pillow and i must confess i will miss these days.

they come and go all to quickly.

my momma heart smiles and aches at the same time during these quiet precious moments.

words cannot describe the love i have for you my emmet, my prince.

 now that g's hair is getting longer, we have started trying mew things like in the above picture.

 this year i started scrap booking again.

this time i am trying a different approach to scrap booking and love it.

 stranded again this time at dolly's preschool and we called it a day (for now at least) with the durango.

we bit the bullet and got a new car.

as much as i didn't want another car payment, it is nice to have a new to us car.

 plants are my go to lately in the home making department.

plants are amazing soothers to my soul.

 catching sunshine anytime they can!!!
