Memorial Day Weekend

Taking a walk at Drake Park

We spotted a duck family

WHIMSICAL

Snowball fight at Mt. Bachelor

Three days- no work! Happiness. Bryan's parents and brother Collin came down to visit from Kennewick, WA. They had a little adventure traveling by motorcycle. We had fun using our new charcoal grill for the first time. It won't be the last either. I stocked up on steak this past week so we are ready for a summer full of grilling! It feels like it is officially Summer here in Bend. Not a cloud in the sky just sunshine! Bryan already is missing the Winter weather. Silly boy. I really think he would enjoy snow and rain all year. But I'm appreciating the Summer. Until it gets in the 90's and then I'm done. Anywho... we had a good time with the fam.

WEEDS!!!

My backyard is a low water maintenance yard. So no grass, just trees, shrubs and rock landscaping. It seemed like a great idea to me, until I found out they did not put a weed cloth down. Now there is a weed infestation! It's taking over my backyard and my time! It's not been the time of my life. Needless to say I want them gone. You can see my progress in the bottom picture, before I got sick of weeding for the day. So a fair half of my weekend is spent in my backyard weeding. I would rather be mowing the lawn.

Living and breathing/No more of All Occasion Flowers

The past seven days tuckered out this little girl! Mother's Day is an exhausting time of year for those of us who work in the floral industry. Summit and Sister's High School decided to have Prom this weekend as well. I personally made every single bout. and corsage for Prom, while everyone else focused on the arrangements for Mother's Day. Above is a picture of bows that I made during my free time after work this past week. Even when I wasn't physically there my mind was. Yesterday I hit my breaking point. I was so tired and so I found everything anyone said or did hysterical. It got to the point where I'd have to go into the cooler to compose myself. My poor fellow employees were probably very sick of the giggles by the time we closed shop for the day. I need a break! Oh well! I'm so glad that it is all over! Now I can get back to Bry and the cutest puppies in the world!
