"Say what?! Thor's coming!"

I was so lucky to be graced with the presence of Mr.Zachery Thor Snell this past weekend. My brothers Tyler and Nick were expected to come up. But there was a twist of fate and at the last minute Thor came up as well to stay at my house. To say we had fun is an understatement. We scoped out the record store, ate Cibelli's pizza (the best pizza in the world, if you're wondering), played the wii until three in the morning, attempted to visit Tumalo Falls (road still closed), had dinner with the little men and dad and Shanna, etc. Loads of fun as you can see from the pictures. THOR YOU NEED TO VISIT MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jasper, the gentleman

On Labor day of last year we were driving behind a diesel truck with his tailgate down and there was this cute fluff ball running around the bed of the truck. I was so upset that someone would actually drive on such a busy road with there dog in the bed like that; when the guy floored the gas and this puppy flew into our car. All three of us were in the car and in shock. Bryan immediately pulled over to chase after the dog while Izzy and I watched nervously. The guy in the diesel truck never turned around and he had no tags and hadn't been micro-chipped. We debated on giving him to a shelter. (Which if you know us we could never do. We attach way too fast.) And so we tried him out. Now we are so happy to have our little Jasper. He is so different then Izzy. Easy going, lazy and he prances as if he was an English Gentleman. I told him he's the Jude Law of dogs, with the cheating aside. Jasper could never treat Izzy that way he loves her too much. And we love Jasper.

Bon Jour!

So here we are in Bend, Oregon. We moved here eight months ago and have enjoyed adapting to our new home. It's such a beautiful place located in Central Oregon. Last April we took a trip with my dad and my brothers Tyler and Nicky up to Seattle, Portland, Albany and Bend. My dad kept telling us we were going to love Bend, but I had my reservations. As soon as we drove through the neighboring city of Sisters I was smitten. We spent the day driving around Bend and we were sold even though we had no plans on originally moving there. Many things started falling into place, Bryan got a job almost instantly and we were soon on our way! My brother Thor and his friend Cam along with my Pa helped us move all of our things up there. I'll never forget sitting in the front seat of my Durango with Izzy on my lap and not even being able to look back because we had that car stuffed to the rim. It was some of the longest thirteen hours of my life! We arrived and the start was hard! Especially saying good-bye to Thor. Reality struck in that instant and I cried for hours. It was my first time living out of Orem, Utah and I was skeptical now about this new place. Luckily I moved up at the right time of year. Every week during the Summer months in Bend is filled with something fun to do. From the farmer's market, Monday night art walks, munch and mingle concerts in Drake Park, etc. I had so much fun enjoying all they had to offer. Bend also is close to many beautiful hiking trails and Tumalo Falls. I've enjoyed my time here and am excited for another fun Summer!
