Grace says

"mom! you broke my heart!"

(when she was mad at me the other day.

then she stomped into my room and I heard her say to e,)

"emmet, mom broke my heart."

last night at dinner she said,

"mom talk to daddy about emmet."

about emmet? i asked.

"yes talk to daddy about what emmet did today."

"too loud!"

actually means turn up the t.v.

"wave hi to max and ruby!"

she says waving wildly.

"i'm a baby. hold me like i'm a baby?"

"don't talk now."

"get me a surprise?"

she asks me this every friday when i pick her up from school.

and always my favorite,

"i love you mommy."

this hardly happens any more...

naps at the same time are a luxury over here these days.

e still takes a daily nap, even if it's just catching some zzz's in the car.

g however is not a big napper, even though i'm sure she still needs a nap.

this is just another new phase in our daily lives.

we are making more of an effort to get BOTH kids to bed by no later than nine.

this is hard though.

we have such a hard time with bedtime over here.

g fights it almost every night. if e misses the sleep window then he will stay up all night talking your ear off.

even thought i am exhausted,

 it is still cute to have him in bed next to me yammering on about who knows what.

e has currently been napping for an hour and a half and in a little bit i will have to wake him up to ensure he doesn't nap for too long.

g put on her "nap time" dress and is laying next to me demanding water while watching max and ruby while i type this. she also looks at the screen and points to her picture telling me that she see's herself.

but the big question remains,

will she take a nap today?

what's up 2014?!

it probably sounds lame, but life has become so hectic lately that i find myself having a hard time to sit down and right out a blog post about our day to day happenings.

this saturday morning with all the who's all a snooze still in our house seemed like the perfect time.

we started a new tradition on new years and made resolutions and placed them in our stockings so that when we pull them out next year we can see how well we did.

so far i am staying very motivated, hopefully that will last.

g's new year's resolution that she picked for herself mind you, is to learn all of her abc's.

how cute is she?!

bry and i have been still purging the house and working on making it more organized.

it is a daily battle and i may or may not feel like cleaning is the same way.

ugh! i get so tired of the cleaning already!

like seriously lately g keeps accidentally knocking over her minnie potty and pee goes everywhere.

and then charlie is into everything and do not leave betty at home alone with a trash bag.

i mean forget about it! it's contents will be everywhere!

seriously why am i writing about messes at nine am?

in other news, g is being checked for celiac's disease.

they suspect she has it. they have suspected i do as well, but i never wanted to get checked.

she had to have three vials of blood taken yesterday.

thor watched e so i could hold her and focus all of my energy on her.

i was sure to give her lots of water so the blood would flow out well,

which it did, but she was not happy.

we will find out more on monday, so now we just have to wait it out for now.
